The BTEC Level 1/2 Tech Award in Health and Social Care provides learners with a broad understanding of the health and social care sector, developing both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Content
Throughout the course, learners will study three key areas: Human Lifespan Development, Health and Social Care Services and Values, and Health and Wellbeing.
You will learn how individuals grow and change from birth through to later adulthood, explore the different care services available to meet people’s needs, and develop an understanding of how to assess and promote physical and emotional wellbeing. These studies will be supported by practical
Assessment
Students will be assessed through a combination of internal coursework and an external examination.
The Human Lifespan Development and Health and Social Care Services and Values components are assessed through internal assignments, while the Health and Wellbeing component is assessed through a two-hour external exam.
This structure ensures that learners can demonstrate their knowledge and skills through both practical and written work.
