Melbourne Park

FUEL in the community

FUEL Independent School is expanding into Melbourne Park, bringing new life to a long-vacant community space. This site will offer increased 1:1 support and meaningful engagement with the local community. It will serve pupils who have been excluded or are at risk of exclusion, as well as those with additional needs, helping them re-engage with education, build confidence, and move towards brighter futures.

Melbourne

Our Melbourne Park site offers learners a personalised one-to-one experience. Many of our pupils have previously felt overwhelmed, struggled to concentrate, or found the pressures of a mainstream school environment difficult to manage.

Surrounded by the open space of Melbourne Park, learners are supported to take one day at a time, build trusting relationships with mentors, developing life skills, and making progress in their academic studies.

Learners have access to bespoke Functional Skills programmes as well as higher-level opportunities. With the right support in place, they are able to achieve more than they ever thought possible.

Make a referral

To make a referral, please download the form below and return it by email to: referrals@fueleducation.org.uk.

From exclusion to inclusion, tailored support since 2009

At FUEL, we understand how important it is to find the right support for your child. While we cannot accept direct referrals from parents or carers, all placements must come through your child’s school or local authority.

If you feel FUEL could be a good fit, please speak with your child’s school — they’ll be able to guide you through the referral process. We’re here to work together to give every young person the best chance to succeed.

Our reach

At our Melbourne Park site, FUEL Independent School offers a range of support beyond education. We provide 1:1 learning and run holiday programmes such as summer camps. The site also hosts community events, creating a safe and supportive space for pupils and local residents to connect, grow, and thrive.

Working in Partnership

We value strong partnerships with schools and local authorities. By working together, we ensure that every student referred to FUEL receives the personalised support and curriculum they need to re-engage with education and succeed.
